The tour begins at Sintra Station, where, together with your guide, you will walk towards the heart of the village. Along the way, you will stroll through picturesque streets that transport you to a fairytale setting, with the imposing National Palace of Sintra dominating the landscape.
A stop at the iconic Periquita pastry shop is a must, where you can taste the delicious queijadas and travesseiros, traditional sweets that delight every visitor and are a true symbol of local gastronomy.
After this sweet moment, we head to the magnificent Quinta da Regaleira, a place shrouded in mystery and symbolism. With our guide’s insight, we explore its labyrinthine gardens, hidden caves, and the famous Initiation Well, one of the most fascinating attractions of this romantic palace.
Returning to the center of the village, we continue our journey towards the iconic Pena Palace, one of Portugal’s greatest architectural gems. Outside the monument, you can admire its lush gardens and the impressive fusion of architectural styles that make this palace truly unique. If you wish, you may also visit the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, a charming retreat hidden among the lush vegetation of the mountain.
